FAQS

What types of portrait sessions do you offer?

I photograph expectant mothers, newborns, babies, young children, families and high school seniors.

What time of day will my session take place?

All outdoor sessions {May – October} are scheduled to begin one hour prior to sunset. The golden hued sunlight that shines muted and low on the horizon just before sunset lends the warm, soft images that are my signature.

Where will my session take place?

I prefer to photograph all outdoor sessions here in Bolton, MA where I am located. Bolton is a small rural town located in picturesque apple country just west of Boston. I have access to several local fields, waterfronts, orchards and tall grass meadows. If you have a specific location in mind, please let me know in advance of booking so that we can explore that option as well. My home studio is a beautiful natural light filled space perfect for photographing expectant mothers, newborns, infants and young children.

What should I wear?

After your session date is booked you will receive an email with a link to my {What to Wear} guide. My What to Wear guide is a great resource for styling your session so that you coordinate with each other. The second most important component of ensuring your beautiful images is wardrobe. The first most important component is YOU.

For maternity, newborn and baby sessions, you are welcome to my client wardrobe. My client wardrobe is extensive and includes blankets, wraps, knit headwear and beautiful accent pieces for babies and young children. For expectant mothers I offer several dresses and kimono style layering options that are all light, flowing, neutral toned yet rich in detail to enhance your beautiful bump.

My photographic style is pure and organic so in keeping that aesthetic in mind I do ask that neutral color tones (whites, cremes, light pastels, beige browns and greys) be the foundation of your ensemble on session day. No distracting prints, graphics, florals, bright colors, dark colors or black as these do not photograph well.
